Year 7 Gifted and Talented Parents Evening
The evening focused on exploring the educational ideas behind generating a register of Gifted and Talented students from the perspective of the National Strategy for Education before moving on to consider the provision of learning opportunities for most able students at Winton Arts and Media College. In regard to the latter the College is committed to providing learning and teaching that engages and challenges all students as well as seeking to strengthen and develop extended learning opportunities through partnerships with the local community that bring benefits to all students including the gifted and talented. I would like to thank the parents and boys who attended this evening for their generous contributions to the event. The ideas generated by the groups in regard to how different subjects may support the most able students will now be passed on to subject leaders and I eagerly await the ideas that individuals have for their Challenge Award projects.
