Admission Arrangements
Admissions to Winton Arts and Media College are handled directly by the Local Authority, specifically, The Admissions Office, Dorset House, 20-22 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH1 3NL.
The School’s Admission Number is 180. The Authorities present policy is that students are admitted to Winton Arts and Media College in the following priority:
Category 1- Children who are “looked after” by the Local Authority.
Category 2- Children living in the designated catchment area of the school who will have a brother attending the school at the time of admission.
Category 3- Children living in the designated catchment area of the school.
Category 4- Children living outside the designated catchment area of the school who will have a brother attending the school at the time of admission.
Category 5- Children living outside the catchment area of the school who live closest to the school as measured by the straight-line distance.
The number of places which were available for September 2007 in Year 7 were 180. A complete guide to the arrangements is held in the Information Booklet which is available upon request from Dorset House.
